We recently delivered two projects for two totally different companies with very different goals in mind. The first, an E-Commerce Startup and the second, a Product Management Consultancy Firm.

Although you’ll be able to read a quick overview of each on the Projects page, I thought it would be nice to give you a slightly different insight than the usual ‘Who, What, How’.

In the last blog post, we discussed Subsmart. Today, we’re going to talk about Jam ICT.

Jam ICT

Jeroen, Adrian, Miles head up an international consultancy firm, aptly named JAM ICT. They have over 60 years of senior project/product management experience between them, and you genuinely could spend an entire day hearing about some of the fascinating projects they’ve worked on over the years.

They asked us to build them a new, modern website that not only showcased their vast skills and experience but also to help them with new clients.

You might be wondering why this post is called The Three Flamingos. I think it’ll be a lot easier if I just showed you…

jam-old

…They’ve still not told me how they ended up with Flamingos on the homepage.

Refreshed

This project was very much an evolution rather than a revolution. The previous branding was the cornerstone of the company for several decades, so we simply modernised it instead of making wholesale changes.

Two key adjectives we followed were Modern and Simple. With that in mind, we decided to use Sans-serif fonts for both the website and the refreshed logo.

Jam ICT Style Guide

Restructured

Content was a big issue with the old Jam website. It wasn’t a question of quality but quantity. There was just too much text on the site, making it an overwhelming experience for any user.

We worked with the team to create a new Information Architecture with a prioritised and refined structure. The process helped Jeroen, Miles and Adrian think about what message was the most important for them to send out.

JAM ICT

Rebuilt

The previous site was a simple static HTML website. We didn’t do anything fancy here, just helped them manage their content easier by building the site on WordPress.

We thoroughly enjoyed working on both of these projects and can’t wait to help both companies grow in the future.

Don’t forget to check out some of the other Projects we’ve worked on and please get in touch if you think we can help your company in the same way.
